Christmas Extravaganza

December 8th 2017
Market Square 5-8pm

Hello everyone

As many of you are aware at the AGM in April most of the old committee who have run this event for a considerable number of years decided that they wished to step down and almost an entirely new committee was elected.

Building on the success of previous years the new Committee are working hard to ensure that Whittlesey can have an evening of family fun in and around the Market Square. Many local companies and businesses have kindly agreed to make donations or offer sponsorship. This will enable us to can keep many of the traditional attractions as well as some new events that will appeal to everyone thus keeping all the family entertained throughout the evening.

We are aware that this is an expensive time of the year for everyone and therefore for the first time ever we are introducing a wristband system which will allow wearers to use all the rides and side attractions at a cost of £5 per person. This however will not include Santa’s Grotto, Food Stalls and the Charity Stalls.

This year in addition to all the usual rides etc., there will be a circus workshop, mini crazy golf, tin-can alley, hook a duck and a photo booth which will be in Malcom James Estate Agents and kindly sponsored by them. Hot Dogs, Burgers, Tea and Coffee will be on sale from a stall run by local butchers
J Jones and Son on the market square.

In the December addition of “Discovery Whittlesey” there will be a pull out brochure which will give you information about what is happening and where. Also in the brochure there will be a chance to enter a free prize draw which will take place during the evening.

Also new for this year is a children’s colouring competition which will be going out to the schools very soon. Please encourage your children to take part, there will be prizes and the winning entry will feature in a later edition of Discovering Whittlesey

We are encouraging all the local businesses and shops to stay open to add to the festive feeling.

Another new development for this year is our Face Book Page “Whittlesey Christmas Extravaganza” it will have all the up to date information, please look at it, like it and share it.

Do come along and support us on what should be a fantastic evening to start the Festive Season.
